I have been using WordPress as a designer for past 5 years and as a blogger for the last 2 years. Having been motivated by a friend to start and write a blog in early 2014, I made up my mind 2 years later and launched a WordPress based tech blog. www.gotechug.com. And like they say, the reset is history.
For the past one year (may 2017) since its launch, i have seen it grow from 0 to now generating 10,000 unique search visitors a month (July 2018) and earned $ 1k+ through sponsored posts submissions and site link ads. – “in just a year”
Starting to blog was not only about the motivation from a friend but also out of my passion for learning & sharing.
Just writing a blog has given me so much more than money. It’s given me a sense of freedom that I didn’t know was possible and a platform to share freely globally.
